A short trip but an intense study of life history in the Ayeyarwaddy Delta. People in the delta bears the simple lifestyle. The reserved forests are enormous and filled with biodiversity. A good place to study of wildlife habitat like birds, fishes, animals, plants ,trees and their nature. Crocodile nests are found around the forest and in creeks. Tortoise Island is only 2 hrs drive by boat to the sea.

Day 1: Yangon – Dedaye (School Visits)
Yangon

Pick up from Hotel and drive to Dedaye Town ( about 3hrs) . Stop at local morning market on the way. Arrived Deday and take river boat to visit the Primary School at Nyaung Lan village, rebuilt by donations from CWS. Schools and houses of the village was washed away by Cyclone Nargis in the year 2008. Locals, NGOs’, Donors from far and near took part in many ways for rehabilitation of people and villages in Delta region. They rebuilt schools, houses, donate animals for farms, water treatment for salt contaminated village drinking water ponds , wells , etc. Continue by car to Pharpone town; once well known as Rice Bowl of Myanmar. Continue to Bogalay. Overnight at a guest house in Bogalay.

Day 2: Bogalay – Meinmahla island (L/D)
Yangon

Pick-up from guest house and stop the Forestry department of Wild Life for formalities. Your long tail boat ( 4-5 pax in one boat) is ready and start you Eco-tourism tour to Mein ma hla Reserved Forest ( about 2 hrs ). The main forest is 337799 Acres wide. Walk around the island , study nursery of mangrove forest, see different kind of woods and learn it’s nature, Birds,fishes and Mangrove forest . Return to Guest house and rest. Lunch & Dinner at the guest house. At night ( around 8 pm, 9 pm ,10pm ) depending on the tide of the sea , take a boat to the river and then to small creeks to look for small crocodiles , habitat of mangrove forest. It’s a kind of an adventure trip at night, but the feeling changes gradually when you see the beautiful sky filled with stars and watch fir-flies on the trees are like Christmas lights hanging on the trees. Learn more about rivers, crocodiles, tortoise and biodiversity from your Forest Ranger. Return and overnight at the guest house. ( Life jackets, first aid kit are available on board )

Day 3: Mein Mahla Island – Bogalay – Maw Kyun ( B )
Yangon

Breakfast at the guest house. Hop onto the boat and visit to small fishing village. Return to the guest house and pack for Return journey back to Bogalay. ( 2 hrs) Drive to a shop for Lunch. Drive to Maw Gyun ( a jetty town of Delta) , takes about 1hr. Stop at the beautiful town , walk around the market and jetty of Maw Kyun. Coffee break at one of the tea shop and return back by car to Yangon. Transfer to the hotel in Yangon.
