Ethical Seven Star Tours is promoting Minority Areas and among them, Pa-O Minority area is one of them. Pa-O Minority area has been practicing Community Involved Tourism for years. Here is an introduction program for you with a short trekking with community involved tourism in Pa O minority area for 2 days 1 night trip. Pa O People live in this area wear black dresses and orange turbans. Most of them are seasonal planters and very religious people.
In this program, daily trekking is about 5 hours, mostly on the plain. There are few slopes during trekking.If you are interested, we can also arrange 1 or 2 more days and please feel free to contact us.

Short Itinerary
- Day 1 Inle Lake to Hti Ne village
- Day 2 Hti Ne to Kakku and back to Inle Lake
Day 1 : Inle – Taunggyi – Kakku – Naungkae – Hti Ne
Pick you up at your respective hotel in Inle area to proceed by car via Taunggyi to Kakku pagoda complex (driving time about 2:30 hours). On the way, we stop to visit Phyu Nge monastery (over 100 years old) and other Pa‐O villages. The Kakku pagoda complex is a hidden treasure with nearly 2500 Buddhist stupas lying in parallel rows in an area of about ones square kilometer. In Myanmar the Kakku pagodas are worshipped as an important site of pilgrimage. Lunch will be served at Haling Koon Restaurant facing the Kakku Pagoda complex. After lunch, we will proceed by car to HtiNe (CBT project village) by passing through Saungphoe village.
Remark:
After dinner, if the group has 3 pax and above, the villagers will entertain you by playing their traditional musical instruments and showing you their ways of dancing.
Overnight at community house in Hti Ne.

Day 2: Hti Ne – Moekaung – Inle
After breakfast leave from the community house at 9:00 AM, walk through Hti‐Ne village and experience local handicraft while you go up to Mellow village. Trek down the side of the mountain to Htithakaw village then continue to Moekaung village where we stop for lunch. After lunch proceed to Magyikone boat jetty by passing through seasonal crop plantations, across a small bridge and some villages. Return to your hotel by boat.
Distance = 14 km, Walking Hour = 5hrs (approximate)
Trek condition = 30% down, 5% up & 65% flat
Included: Boat and car transfer, trekking guide, helper, Kakku pagoda entrance fee, village fund, service charges in CBT village, meals, accommodation, culture show, drinking water and fresh towel.
