Start from Nyaung Shwe jetty or your hotel on Inle Lake.
Start your boat trip on Inle Lake – a photographer’s dream, its calm waters are dotted with floating vegetation and fishing canoes, to which scenic high hills provide the perfect backdrop. See the lake’s unique “leg rowers” – the Intha people row standing up with one leg wrapped around an oar. You will see the floating gardens, growing vegetables and flowers. Also visit Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery; a museum like monastery where old belongings of many monasteries are restored.
Stop to see silk weaving on wooden handlooms. Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the holiest religious site in southern Shan State. Stop at a blacksmith shop and other places as time allows. (Visit to traditional 5day market if coincide with the day)
Back to Nyaung Shwe and take a car to Inle Horse Club.
Trek to Red Mountain Winery, a round trip from Inle Horse Club. Join us on a two hours excursion to the local Red Mountain Winery, where you will pass through fields full of dragon fruit, sugar cane, sunflowers in the season and Pagoda on the hill top monastery. On the way, visit to Pleasant Garden Shan traditional House where you can relax in plantation farm. This
45 minutes horse ride to the winery provides amazing scenic views over the Inle Lake. You can spend 45mins at Red Mountain vineyards, where you can indulge in local food and a spectacular view from their restaurant. Wine tasting is on offer for those who would like to try Myanmar Wine. From the winery we then have a thirty-minute ride back to the horse club through the local plantations.
