Discover The Beauty Land of Akha

Arrival to Tachileik Friendship bridge around 10:30 (Thailand Time) : 10:00 (Myanmar Time). After Immigration formalities, your guide will meet you at the border. Transfer to Keng Tong (approx 3 – 4hrs drive) with some photo stops on the way. You can stop the car and walk in those small villages of Khun Shan on the way and observe the daily lifestyle of those villages. (if time permits) Arrive to Kyaing Tong in the late afternoon and check-in hotel.
Overnight at hotel in Keng Tong.

After breakfast at hotel, starts with a visit by car to Kyaing Tong North direction Kat Tauk area Pin Tauk-Wan Pind village and then trekking to see Akha with silver headdress and Ann tribes with black teeth. Suggestion : Picnic lunch at Pin-Tauk Water-Fall or nearby. A brief stop to see Wan Kan villagers making Sake’ Rice Wine in traditional process. From Kat auk turn to visit Wan Lau village’s hand-making “Saa-Pulp” Shan Paper Works. Afterwards, visit to Wan-Pauk, the village of the red clothed Palaung with silver and lacquered waist-bands. If time permit, sightseeing around Kyaing Tong : visit over 245 years old dipterocarpus tree grown on the lone tree hill and view can be seen over the town, standing Buddha, Naung Tong Lake and view sunset at Wat Zoam Kham. (this sightseeing cannot be done if you arrive back late to Kyaing Tong) Overnight at hotel in Kyaing Tong.

After breakfast at hotel, make a 5 minutes walk to the huge Kyaing Tong Market. You can see minority people are shopping in the morning. After that drive to 5442 feet high Loi-Mwe mountain blanketed with misty, peaceful and walk around old British colonial governor’s houses, hill top lake, cherry and peach wine shops and old Catholic Church. Short-cut trekking from the road to Ho-Latt Akha village, Naung-Cho Wa village and Pang-Wai Lahu village. Back to Kyaing Tong and overnight at Hotel.

After breakfast, 2 hours drive out of Kyaing Tong northeast direction Monglar Road, then park the car and start trekking one hour to Wan Nyet village, proceeding another one hour to Wan Seng Village, both of villages are Loi and have a wonderful several century old monastery in each. Back to Kyaung Tong and overnight at hotel.

After breakfast at hotel, make a 5 minutes walk to the huge Kyaing Tong Market. You can see minority people are shopping in the morning. Drive out of Kyaing Tong 40 minutes to the east, Dhat Zoam Doi ancient pagoda (the origin of Yangon Kaba-Aye Pagoda) can be seen. On the way, you can see Wan Sai Arkhu-tribe village (not similar to Akha) and Wai Sai villages. End of the road can meet Ho-Lung Ann-tribe village and boat shape monastery. Transfer to Airport. (Remark: Kyaing Tong to Heho flight is not included in the cost)
