Full day tour to Pakokku by crossing over the bridge over Ayeyarwaddy River and return to Bagan by boat
Drive to Pakokku passing by the Pakokku Bridge, the longest bridge over Ayeyarwaddy River. Pakokku is still an authentic Myanmar town, people earned their living on seasonal crops like sesamane, peanut, cotton, tobacco leaves, etc.
Arrive to Polokku and continue driving north of 18 miles from Pokokku to proceed Pakhan Gyi Monastery where you can see over 150 years old teak wood monastery which is said to be the largest wooden monastery in Myanmar. After visit drive back to Pakokku and visit to the colourful market, visit the home industry of Myanmar dolls made of papier-marche and the famous Shwe gu Ta-Ke ( exquisite wood carving door), Thihoshin ; amazing Buddha image from Ceylon and visit to Tha-na-khar market.
Around 3 PM, transfer to Pokokku jetty where you can take a river boat trip in the Ayeyarwaddy River.
On the way, stop at Kyaukku Umin. Walk along the small path through mountain to the meditation cave made of sand stone in the 12 century. Visit around to see the stone-relief, stucco of the temple and return back to Bagan at sunset. Transfer back to your hotel by car.
