8 Days Myanmar Culture program is for client who has over a week time to see and feel first impression of our country. Yangon: Visit to the most stunning Shwedagon pagoda, gorgeous old colonial buildings from British colonial time in Rangoon. Bagan; Visit to the First Myanmar Kingdom and temple field of 2000 temples and pagodas Mandalay; The last Myanmar Kingdom, handicrafts & the land of culture rich capital.

Day 1 : Yangon Arrival

Arrive to Yangon. Meet at Airport and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Yangon - Bagan

Transfer to airport. Yangon – Bagan by flight. Transfer to hotel. Visit the ancient capital of ‘Bagan’ and its architecture from 10 -13century AD. When you talk about Bagan, it is needless to say about Buddhism that flourished together with Bagan culture. Sightseeing in Bagan includes Nyaung Oo Market; a village market where you can find from wet market of fish and meat to house hold things like ratten baskets, cotton wear and antiques. Visits: Shwezigon Pagoda; prototype golden stupa, Htilominlo Temple famous for its intricately carved stucco contains depictions of ogresses and mythological animals like Makara sea creatures of12th century. The temple contains beautiful murals and frescoes of Buddhist depictions done in several colors. Some of them have faded considerably. Ananda Temple; the most beautiful temple with 4 standing Buddhas in four cardinal points, history or lord Buddha and outside of the temple is decorated withTerra-Cotta worriers in green glaze plaques . Visit Lacquerware Factory and stroll around the village of Myinkaba, visit Manuha Temple; the temple of captive king of Tha-ton, and Pyattadagyi Temple or one of the special place for panoramic view of the city. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 3: Bagan – Pokokku – Pakhan Gyi - Bagan

After breakfast at hotel, your guide will pick you up from your hotel and driver approximately (1hr) to Pokokku. Visit Thanakha market, Cheroot Cottage Industry, Pakokku Local market
and then visit Shwegu Paya to see intricate woodcarvings.
Afternoon visit the remains of PakhanGyi, 19th century wooden monastery which was constructed by King Mindon in 1886 who had established Mandalay as the last royal capital.
Among the largest wooden monasteries in the country, the dark-hued structure stands on 254 teak pillars. The doors and some elements of the interior are decorated with beautiful, hand-carved wooden sculptures depicting previous lives of the Buddha. Return to Bagan.

Day 4: Bagan - Mandalay

Transfer to airport. Bagan – Mandalay by flight. Visit the last Myanmar Kingdom known as “Rathnapura”. The city is famous for Myanmar’s 10 traditional arts and crafts. At least 2 -3 days is needed to visit the former kingdoms like Amarapura, Ava, Mingun and Sagaing. Sightseeing Mandalay: Mahamuni Image; a place of Intense devotion to pilgrims from all over the world, Wood carving, Gold leaf making and Tapestry Workshop, Shwenandaw Monastery; the Golden Palace Monastery, Kuthodaw Pagoda; the world’s largest book and sunset from Mandalay Hill; with the view of dotted pagodas and Ayeyarwaddy River. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5: Mingun – Amarapura - Mandalay

After breakfast, proceed to Mayan Chan jetty and board on a local wooden boat/ small River boat for Mingun across Ayeyarwady river (11 km, approx 1 hour). The boat trip is interesting because you see all types of wooden boats and bamboo rafts, carrying goods up and down the river. Observe the world’s largest ringing bell casted by Bodawpaya in 1800 weighing 55555 viss which calculated equal to 90 tons and Mingun Pahtodawgyi, an enormous pile of bricks is all that remain of King Bodawpaya ambition to make it the world’s largest Buddhist stupa. After a visit of beautiful Mya Thein Tan Pagoda return to Mandalay.
Afternoon sightseeing an excursion to ancient capital of Amapura “meaning city of immortality”. Visit Mahagandayon Monastery, home to several hundred of Buddhist novices and monks and observe the lunch process. Then visit to Silk Weaving & cotton hand loom cottage industry.
Evening watch the sunset from 200 year old U Bein teak bridge span across Thaungthaman Lake at the time when Amarapura was Royal capital.

Day 6: Mandalay – Heho – Inle Lake

Transfer to airport. Mandalay – Heho by flight. Drive to Nyaung Shwe. You’ll feel a total difference atmosphere and ambience from Middle part of Myanmar. The Inle Lake is surrounded by mountains and situated 3000ft above sea level. Traveling on the lake is an exhilarating experience for nature lovers and a chance to observe the unique traditions of the Intha people. Wonder unique leg rowing fishermen, floating firms , houses and monasteries on the stilt etc. Visit most venerated 11 Century Phaungdaw Oo pagoda housing five sacred Buddha Images, the weaving village, Se Gaung Village, famous for the blacksmith work and Nan Pan Village with cheroot making and Ngaphechauung; a museum like monastery where old belongings of many monasteries are restored. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: Heho – Yangon

Transfer to airport. Heho – Yangon by flight. Transfer to hotel. In the afternoon, proceed to Bogyoke Market, and then visit to Shwedagon Pagoda to enjoy the very special atmosphere here before and after sunset. After that stroll around the busy streets of Yangon’s famous China Town and Yangon Jetty or if you wish and back to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 8: Yangon Departure

Transfer to airport for departure flight.

Booking Condition & Payment Terms
  • Booking Cut- off date 1 month (31 days) before departure. Once the booking is confirmed, need to make 50% of the payment to secure the booking and balance to be made before 31 days ahead.
  • We will need passenger passport copies to issue domestic flight tickets once the booking is confirmed to avoid any spelling mistake.
  • Domestic airfares are subject to change without prior notice. Will inform and collect if the airlines announce Fuel Surcharge, Airport tax, etc. etc.
