Visit minority villages in Shan States

Your guide will meet you at Tarchilek border(around 10:30 or 11:00 hrs, Myanmar time). Then drive to Kyaing Tong (about 4 hours). Overnight at hotel in Kyaing Tong.

After breakfast at hotel, starts with a visit by car to Kyaing Tong North direction Kat Tauk area Pin Tauk- Lahu village in Mud houses and then trekking to see Akha with silver headdress and Ann tribes with black teeth. Wan-Pauk, the village of the red clothed Palaung with silver and lacquered waist-bands. A brief stop to see Wan Kan villagers making Sake’ Rice Wine in traditional process. From Kat auk turn to visit Wan Lau village’s hand-making “Saa-Pulp” Shan Paper Works. Overnight at hotel in Kyaing Tong.

After breakfast at hotel, make a 5 minutes walk to the huge Kyaing Tong Market. You can see minority people are shopping in the morning. Transfer to airport. Flight Kyaing Tong – Heho afternoon flight You are met and transfer to Kalaw. (approx. 1 hr drive). Overnight at hotel in Kalaw. (Note: Sightseeing in Kyaing Tong depends on Kyaing Tong – Heho flight time.)

Drive to Green Hill Elephant. Then walk to the river where elephant bath and you can join in feeding and washing to the elephants. Option: having an experience of sitting on the elephant’s back (like Mahout) after washing. Then exploration of the forest area, opportunity to see butterflies, birds and orchids around our conservation area (30-40 min). Lunch at the main camp. You are also welcome by planting regional trees from our nursery in our forest recovery efforts. Afternoon, visit around small town of Kalaw. Overnight at hotel in Kalaw.

Kalaw – Lamine – Kong Hla – Pato Pot (Danu and PaOo Village) After breakfast around 08:30 hrs, transfer to trekking point directly by car (approx. 45 mins or one hour drive). Start your trekking and you can see rice/ paddy farm and a lot of vegetable plantations on the way. After one hour trek, you can take a rest and have your light lunch (simple mixed fried noodle with chicken and egg). After lunch around 13:00 hr, continue the trek along the way, pass Kong Hla village. After 3 ½ hrs trek, proceed to Patto Paut village where you will overnight at the village house. Traditional dinner will be served at the Patto Paut village(eg. Rice, chicken curry, fried vegetables etc.) Overnight at Pato Pot village.

Breakfast at 07:30 hrs at the Patto Paut village. After breakfast, leave and start your trekking Pato Pot village to visit its old monastery. Continue your trek after 30 minutes, proceed to Htee Tein village. Continue trekking about 1 hour from Htee Tein village, you will proceed to Nam Yoke village and you are on the trek of road to Inlay. On the way we can see panoramic Inlay view at top of the hill. About 13:00 hrs, we will arrive to Indein village. (near the boat station). Rest and take the lunch at small Intha restaurant nearby. After lunch, transfer to your hotel in Inle by boat.

Breakfast at hotel and board on a traditional long and tall motorized boat for a sightseeing tour of the lake. Traveling on the lake is an exhilarating experience for nature lovers and a chance to observe the unique traditions of the Intha people. Wonder unique leg rowing fishermen, floating firms (built up from strips of water hyacinth and mud which anchored to the bottom with bamboo poles), houses and monasteries on the stilt etc. Visit floating village of Ywama, the lake’s downtown and largest village on the Inlay Lake, 11 century Phaungdaw Oo pagoda housing five sacred Buddha Images. Take a walk to Lechae village to see workman ship of Tin Smith for Tiers of Pagodas and art of moulding Buddha statue by flower powder and the weaving village of Inpawkhon, famous for traditional silk-weaving, Se Gaung Village, famous for the blacksmith work and Nan Pan Village with cheroot making and boat-building dockyards etc and end your day with a visit famous Ngaphechaung, a museum like monastery where old belongings of many monasteries are restored. Overnight at hotel in Inle Lake.

After breakfast, transfer to Heho airport. Flight Heho – Yangon morning flight Ex airport, drive to Hlaw Gar Wildlife Park; It is located 35 km North of Yangon, established in 1982. The park includes 818 acres of wildlife zone, 62 acres of mini zoo and 660 acres of buffer zone. It represents the collection of Myanmar indigenous species of mammals, reptiles and birds. explore the park for the whole afternoon and drive back to Yangon. You can feed those monkeys and deer etc. in the mini zoo there. Transfer to hotel and overnight at hotel.

A full day of sightseeing with a car and an English speaking guide. This will include the Sule pagoda in the centre of the city, Indiatown and Chinatown and the impressive colonial buildings in the centre of Yangon. You will also visit the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha and Karaweik Hall, in a scenic position overlooking a lake. Everyone will be agog at the hustle and bustle in Yangon, with pavements crammed with stalls, newspaper sellers spreading out their papers on the pavement, old women sitting on low stools cooking vegetable pakoras in steaming woks to serve to passers-by and noisy tea shops that are open to the elements, serving up hot sweet ‘chai’ to locals perched on plastic stools. In the afternoon you will visit the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda, the centre of Buddhism in Burma. This is a beautiful building and there will be many pilgrims there making offering of flowers and incense – a great place for a spot of people watching. You will also take a walking tour to Botataung Pagoda, built around the same time as Shwedagon. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Transfer to airport for your departure flight ex Yangon.
